Wrestling Match at Kutztown Scheduled For Thursday Night is Cancelled

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Shippensburg wrestling team's match at Kutztown this evening that was scheduled for 7:30 p.m., in Keystone Field House has been cancelled due to the inclement weather that has affected the state of Pennsylvania since Tuesday. No make-up date has been scheduled at this time.

The Red Raiders are 5-8 in dual meets this season and the team's match with the Golden Bears was supposed to be their final dual match of the year before the team heads to Pembroke, N.C., to compete in the NCAA Division II East Region Championships held at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke February 23-24.

Shippensburg finished 5th at least year's regional championships with senior Mark Murphy (Dillsburg/Northern York) placing second at 184 pounds. Murphy is currently the No. 8-ranked wrestler in Division II at 184 while red-shirt sophomore Jason Groller (Easton/Easton) was named PSAC Wrestler of the Week on Tuesday.
