Kali Antolik Named PSAC Eastern Division Volleyball Player of the Week

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - For the second consecutive week and third time in six this season, the Shippensburg volleyball team has had a player chosen PSAC Eastern Division Player of the Week. On Tuesday, freshman Kali Antolik (Johnstown/Westmont Hilltop) received her first career honor as she led the Lady Raiders to a perfect 4-0 week.
Antolik averaged 10 kills in four matches and 3.1 per game, totaling 40 kills while making just six errors in 75 attempts for a .453 hitting percentage. She totaled 10 or more kills in three of the team's four matches and had a nine block assists while committing only one error.
Antolik's best performance came in a 3-0 win against West Virginia Wesleyan in which she had 10 kills and no errors in 16 attempts. She also had two block assists. Against Millersville, she totaled 10 kills and four block assists.
Earlier this year, senior Missy Pierce (Valparaiso, Ind./West Aurora (Ill.)) earned PSAC Eastern Division Player of the Week honors on September 5 while freshman Cindel Young (McConnellsburg/Broadfoarding Christian Academy) became the first freshman in the conference to win the award last week.
The Lady Raiders, winners of their last nine-straight, travel to West Chester this evening for a crucial conference match with third-place in the Eastern Division on the line.
