After the score was tied at 10-10 in the first game, the Lady Raiders went on a 15-10 run to lead 25-20. Following a timeout, the Lady Raiders closed out the first game behind the serve of sophomore Missy Ramp (York/Central York) by recording five straight points. Ramp finished the game with a team-high three service aces.

Millersville (12-15, 2-4 PSAC East) also dropped game two to Shippensburg, but never trailed in game three and gained momentum heading into the fourth game. After the Marauders gained a 12-9 lead, Shippensburg tied the score at 13-13, and closed out the fourth game 30-24 to win the match in four.

In the previous meeting between these two teams on Sept. 11, the Lady Raiders won in five games and received a triple-double from junior Maureen DuVall (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville). On Tuesday night, DuVall delivered a season-high 55 assists to go along with eight digs, two kills and one service ace, giving the junior a total of 102 assists her two matches against the Marauders this season.

Defensively, junior Kelsi Hoffman (York/West York) led Shippensburg with 15 digs, while Ramp added 11 and Toomey added eight. Sophomore Cindel Young (McConnellsburg/Broadfoarding Christian) led the Lady Raiders with two block solos and three block assists.

Shippensburg will look to tie the school record for victories in a season when it hosts the University of the District of Columbia on Friday night to begin the SU Regional Crossover at Heiges Field House. The match will begin at 7 p.m.
