Volleyball Drops Match Against IUP at PSAC Crossover

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Shippensburg
University volleyball team lost its opening match of the Pennsylvania State
Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover against Indiana University (Pa.) on
Friday night at Slippery Rock University. The Indians won with game scores
of 30-19, 21-30, 30-19, 30-20.
The Lady Raiders (12-13) were led by three newcomers, including freshman
Maureen DuVall (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville) who totaled one kill, 16
digs, 30 assists, four service aces and two block solos. Freshman Ashleigh
Helfrick (Greencastle, Pa./James Buchanan) added 14 kills and 15 digs while
freshman Kelsi Hoffman (York, Pa./West York) had 19 digs.
Shippensburg returns to action on Saturday with two matches, playing California
University (Pa.) at 10:00 a.m., before facing host Slippery Rock at 4:00
p.m.
