SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University women's volleyball junior Brittany Roche (Morrinsville/Pennsbury) totaled a career-high 17 kills as the Lady Raiders won their fourth-straight match with a 28-30, 30-17, 30-23, 31-29 victory over Anderson (S.C.) Friday night at Heiges Field House in the Raider Classic.

Shippensburg (5-1) also received 17 kills from sophomore Kali Antolik (Johnstown/Westmont Hilltop) and 20 digs from junior Kelsi Hoffman (York/West York).

After dropping just its fourth game of the season in the opener, the Lady Raiders stormed back to win the second game by 13 points before taking the third by seven. In the fourth, Shippensburg trailed 29-25, but following a timeout by head coach Leanne Piscotty, the team reeled off the final six points for the victory, the last coming on a kill by sophomore Colleen Toomey (Reading/Muhlenberg).

Toomey finished the match with 10 kills as she was one of three Lady Raiders in double figures, joining Roche and Antolik.

Junior Maureen DuVall (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville) totaled 49 assists to raise her career total to 2,045 as she became just the third player in the program's 27-year history to surpass 2,000 career assists. The school record for career assists is held by Amber Schmerfeld who totaled 3,229 despite playing just three seasons from 2002-04. DuVall also added six kills and 13 digs.

DuVall was one of five Lady Raiders to reach double figures in digs. In addition to Hoffman and DuVall, Toomey added 12 while junior Karey Toms (Waynesboro/Waynesboro) and Roche each totaled 11 digs. Toms also had four of Shippensburg's 10 service aces.

The Lady Raiders return to action on Saturday morning when they host Goldey-Beacom at 10:00 AM before facing Limestone at 5:00 PM.
