Antolik, Toomey Lead Lady Raiders Past Philadelphia at Raider Classic

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Sophomores Kali Antolik (Johnstown/Westmont Hilltop) and Colleen Toomey (Reading/Muhlenberg) combined for 21 kills as the Shippensburg University volleyball team won its third-straight match Friday afternoon, defeating Philadephia 30-11, 30-15 and 30-20 at the Raider Classic inside Heiges Field House.

The Lady Raiders (4-1) play Anderson (S.C.) Friday night at 8:00 PM.

Antolik totaled 11 kills while Toomey added 10 as Shippensburg posted a .379 hitting percentage as a team against the Rams. Antolik hit .526 while Toomey hit .471 as the duo committed just three errors in 36 attempts.

Reigning PSAC Eastern Division Rookie of the Year Cindel Young (McConnellsburg/Broadfoarding Christian) had nine kills as she was one of five Lady Raiders who had at least five kills. Junior Brittany Roche (Morrinsville/Pennsbury) totaled a Shippensburg-high eight kills and freshman Hannah Sorber (Noxen/Lake-Lehman) added five.

Junior Maureen DuVall (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville) dished out 26 assists while sophomore Missy Ramp (York/Central York) contributed 11.

Defensively, junior Kelsi Hoffman (York/West York) led the way with a team-high eight digs while sophomore Renee Parseghian (Johnstown/Westmont Hilltop) had six. Young also totaled four blocks, including three assisted.
