Women's Track and Field Adds 28 Recruits For 2007-08 Season

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Shippensburg women's track and field coach Dave
Osanitsch has announced the addition of 28 student-athletes to the
Lady Raider program for the 2007-08 season. The program has also added 31 student-athletes
to the Red Raider program.
"In addition to adding quality individuals that are accomplished as athletes, they are also excellent students and good people off the track," said Osanitsch.
"The women's recruiting class is easily one of the finest recruiting classes we have ever had in the program's history. They should come in right away and help us to be one of the top programs in the conference."
Shippensburg finished fourth at the PSAC outdoor championships for the second-straight year last spring after finishing fifth at the PSAC indoor championships. Freshman Mary Dell (Boiling Springs/Boiling Springs) was named PSAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Rookie of the Year while being named to the 2007 U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Women's Division II All-Academic Track and Field Team.
