Pavilionyte Earns Fourth All-PSAC Western Division First Team Honor

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Shippensburg women's tennis senior Lina Pavilionyte (Vilnius, Lithuania/Vilnius Sv. Kristofer) was named to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conferenec (PSAC) Western Division First Team on Wednesday, an honor she has received in each of her four seasons with the Lady Raiders.

This season, Pavilionyte advanced to the semifinals of the PSAC Individual Championships for the fourth-straight year before losing to top-seed and eventual champion Inga Chilingaryan of California (Pa.). Chilingaryan was selected as the Western Division Athlete of the Year.

Pavilionyte led the Lady Raiders in victories this season, finishing with a 12-5 record, just one win shy of her career-high of 13 set in both her freshman and sophomore seasons. She concludes her career at Shippensburg with a 45-16 career record at No. 1 singles, a .738 winning percentage.

As a junior last season, Pavilionyte totaled a 7-4 overall record while posting a 13-3 mark as a sophomore and a 13-4 record as a freshman.

As a team, Shippensburg finished the 2005-06 season with a 6-7 record, including 1-3 in the PSAC Western Division.
