Pavilionyte Falls in PSAC Semifinals to Eventual Champion

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Senior Lina Pavilionyte (Vilnius, Lithuania/Vilnius Sv. Kristofer) advanced to the semifinals of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Individual Championships for the fourth-straight year, but on Sunday, fell to the top seed and eventual champion, Inga Chilingaryan of California (Pa.).
Chilingaryan ousted the third-seeded Pavilionyte, 6-3, 6-2 and then won the championship by a 6-0, 6-0 score over Kerstin Kloeffer of Kutztown.
Pavilionyte led the Lady Raiders in victories this season, finishing with a 12-5 record, just one win shy of her career-high of 13 set in both her freshman and sophomore seasons. She concludes her career at Shippensburg with a 45-16 career record at No. 1 singles, a .738 winning percentage.
