Lady Raider Tennis Concludes Season With 5-4 Home Loss to Seton Hill

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Behind wins in four of six singles matches, the Seton Hall women's tennis team edged out a 5-4 victory over Shippensburg Saturday afternoon at Robb Sports Complex on Senior Day.

The loss concludes the 2006-07 season for the Lady Raiders (1-14) as well as the careers of seniors Melinda Dewald (Cogan Station/Jersey Shore), Nicole Perugini (Reading/Holy Name) and Kristi Peterson. Dewald and Perugini lost their individual matches at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, but the duo teammed up for a 9-8 (7-3) victory at No. 1 singles.

Freshmen Jakie Kramer (Sinking Spring/Wilson) and Ali Horvath (Woxall/Souderton) were the lone singles winners for Shippensburg while also combining for an 8-3 victory at No. 3 singles.
