Nov. 7, 2007

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Four members of the Shippensburg University women's soccer team representing each class year were named to the All-PSAC Eastern Division Second Team on Wednesday afternoon, marking the second consecutive season that four Lady Raiders have earned all-conference honors.

Earning all-conference honors were freshman Amanda Greenawalt (Landisville/Hempfield), sophomore Gayle Kuntzmann (Hatboro/Hatboro-Horsham), junior Beth Long (Berwyn/Conestoga) and senior Mallory Skipp (Exton/Henderson).

In two seasons under head coach Rob Fulton, a total of eight Lady Raiders have been selected to the All-PSAC Eastern Division women's soccer teams. With her selection, Kuntzmann is now a two-time honoree after being named PSAC Eastern Division Rookie of the Year in 2006.

Greenawalt and Kuntzmann combined for 16 goals and 35 points this season to lead the team in scoring. In Shippensburg's eight victories this season, the dynamic duo combined to net five game-winning goals.

Long was a valuable keeper for Shippensburg, finishing second in the conference with 136 saves, an average of 7.16 per game. She posted the fifth-best save percentage in the league at .814 while recording four shutouts. Long has recorded 10 shutouts in two years as Shippensburg’s starting goalkeeper.

Skipp concluded her career at Shippensburg with five goals and five assists. After starting as a forward in her freshman and sophomore seasons, Skipp made the transition to defense for her final two seasons. She finished her career with appearances in 76 of the team's 79 contests.
