Crutchfield and Long Named All-PSAC in Women's Lacrosse

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Shippensburg women's lacrosse sophomore Beth Long (Berwyn/Conestoga) and junior Kristin Crutchfield (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) were both selected to the All-PSAC women's lacrosse teams on Thursday, marking the first career postseason honors for both. Long was named to the First Team while Crutchfield earned Second Team honors.

Long has been a key member of Shippensburg defensive effort while also contributing offensively in her first two seasons. She has started in 32 of the team's 34 games during that time, totaling six goals and five assists for 11 points.

In addition to her offensive contributions, Long led the team in both ground balls with 39 and caused turnovers with 19.

Crutchfield finished her second season with the Lady Raiders as the team's leader in goals, assists and points. She finished the year with 53 goals, 11 assists and 64 points. She scored three or more goals in 11 of her 15 games, including the team‚s first eight contests of the season.

Last year, Crutchfield finished second on the team with 38 goals and 44 points. Since transferring to Shippensburg from Queens (N.C.) and Carroll Community College, Crutchfield has totaled 91 goals and 17 assists for a total of 108 points.

Shippensburg finished the season with an 8-10 record, advancing to the semifinals of the PSAC Women's Lacrosse Championship for the third time in the last four seasons.
