Ramagli Named to Mid-Atlantic Region Championship All-Tournament Team

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Shippensburg
softball freshman Lisamarie Ramagli (Levittown/Neshaminy) was one of 13
players from eight teams chosen to the 2007 NCAA Division II Mid-Atlantic
Region Championship All-Tournament Team on Sunday. She was selected as
one of two at-large selections.
In three games at the regional tournament, Ramagli hit .500, going 4-for-8
with a double and a home run. She also had two RBIs and a walk. Her top
performance came in the Lady Raiders’ 4-0 loss to East Stroudsburg
on Thursday when she totaled two of the team’s four hits, going 2-for-3
with a double.
Ramagli was 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday’s 10-2
victory over Bowie State before driving in Shippensburg’s lone run
in Saturday’s season-ending 2-1 loss to Edinboro. She finished the
game 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Lock Haven, the defending national champion, won its second consecutive
Mid-Atlantic Region championship with a 7-0 victory over Bloomsburg on
Sunday.
Meanwhile, Shippensburg finished the season with a 30-24 overall record,
its sixth consecutive 30-win season while also making its sixth-straight
NCAA regional championship appearance.
