SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Bloomsburg University pinch hitter Tina Jennosa hit an RBI-double to right center to score the game's only run in a 1-0 victory over Shippensburg Uniersity on Friday afternoon in game seven of the NCAA Division II Softball Mid-Atlantic Region Championship.

For Shippensburg (41-4), it is the team's first loss in the NCAA regional tournament since 2002.

Bloomsburg set up the winning run when Tiffany Corliss singled to third base before Jess Snader came in to pinch run. Alyson Taylor reached on an error on a bunt attempt, moving Snader to third before Jennosa's game-winning hit.

Shippensburg junior Kelley Tiesi (Baltimore, Md./Catholic School of Baltimore) started her second-straight game in the tournament and battled for four innings before she was relieved by freshman Danielle Shields (Laurel, Del., Sussex Tech). Shields pitched the final three innings and allowed one run on three hits. She struck out two, but earned the loss to go to 13-2.

Amanda Smith allowed four hits in the game for Bloomsburg (43-8) with seven strikeouts. She gets the win to go to 16-3 on the year.

Senior Liz Corr (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) led the Lady Raiders, going 2-for-3.

Also in the game, Lady Raider senior Jaime Dacey (Langhorne, Pa./Archbishop Wood) had one hit to tie the Shippensburg single-season record for hits. She has 76 hits for the year, tying the record set by Heather Bankert in 1999.

Shippensburg will face Indiana University (Pa.) in an elimination game on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. The winner will then face Bloomsburg in the championship game at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Shippensburg would need to win three games in the remainder of the tournament to reach the NCAA championship in Salem, Virginia next week.
