Bloomsburg Softball Doubleheader Cancelled For Sunday

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - After being moved from Saturday to Sunday in anticipation of rainy weather, the Shippensburg University softball doubleheader at Bloomsburg University has now been cancelled because of Saturday's heavy rains.
The doubleheader, which would have no impact on the seeding for the upcoming Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Softball Championship, will not be rescheduled. Shippensburg (37-3, 20-2 PSAC East) will focus its attention on the team's opening game in the PSAC Tournament on Thursday.
The softball championship will be hosted at Shippensburg's Robb Sports Complex next Thursday, April 28 through Saturday, April 30. The three teams, as well as seeding, from the Eastern Division, has been decided and will be top-seed Shippensburg, second-seeded Bloomsburg and third-seeded Kutztown University.
In the Western Division, Lock Haven University has secured the No. 1 seed and both California University (Pa.) and Indiana University (Pa.) has secred tournament berths, but will await the conclusion of the regular-season to determine seeding.
