Lady Raider Softball Doubleheader at Mansfield Postponed by Cold, Weather

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - With a forecast that calls for a high of 36 degrees with snow showers and winds out of the West ranging from 10-to-15 mph, the Shippensburg softball team’s doubleheader at Mansfield scheduled for Saturday has been postponed and rescheduled for Sunday, April 15 beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Saturday’s postponement is the second weather-related rescheduled doubleheader in as many days for the Mountaineers who also had Friday’s doubleheader at home against Bloomsburg postponed.

For Shippensburg, the postponement means that the team will now play six games in six days beginning next Tuesday, April 10 when it travels to East Stroudsburg. The Lady Raiders will then return home to face local rival Millersville on Friday at Robb Field before heading to Mansfield on Sunday.

Following Friday’s doubleheader split at West Chester, Shippensburg is currently in sixth-place in the seven-team PSAC Eastern Division with three doubleheaders next week against the teams currently in third, fourth and fifth-place.
