Softball To Host "Fun For All" Camp
General camp information
The total resident plan which includes meals, lodging,
T-shirt, instruction, limited medical insurance, and a camp gift is $310.
The commuter plan includes T-shirt, instruction, limited medical insurance,
and a camp gift. Commuters may choose from four different plans: no meals
- $195; four lunches - $217; four lunches and four dinners - $245; or four
breakfasts, four lunches and four dinners - $261.
Things to bring to camp (label your gear) include: any athletic equipment
such as a glove, shin guards, tennis racquet, roller blades, protective gear
(helmet,
knee and elbow pads) sneakers, old clothing, sun-screen, and swimsuit (w/ towel).
Only two participants will be assigned to a room. Two sheets, one pillowcase
and a pillow are provided. No towels, washcloths or blankets are provided.
Coin operated washers and dryers are available in the residence hall.
All participants are to check in on Sunday, July 17 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
An organizational meeting will be held before the first session on Sunday.
Camp will end on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
A certifcate of health must be presented by each participant at the camp’s
registration. A standard form will be sent upon acceptance. This form does
not require a physician’s examination or signature.
Objectives
This is a low impact camp designed to appeal to girls of all
ages who are looking for a fun relaxing week during the summer. Campers will
be given
the opportunity
to choose from a wide range of activities to suit their existing interests
as well as start to develop new interests. Every camper will be able to choose
the activities they would like to participate in each day. Evening activities
will be planned in advance giving the girls a great opportunity to meet other
girls their age.

Important: Bring a plain white t-shirt for evening activity (tie dye) — will
not be able to participate without a white t-shirt.

Staff
The camp will be conducted by highly qualified counselors that will
help facilitate a positive camp experience. The camper/staff ratio will be
approximately
12:1.

Facilities
The SU Fun for All Camp will be conducted on the beautiful Shippensburg
University campus. During the recreational activity periods, opportunities
will be available
to use the 9 lighted tennis courts, indoor/outdoor basketball courts (if available),
sand volleyball courts, 4 handball courts, softball fields, swimming pool,
and weight training room.
All participants will be housed in a modern residence hall and supervised by
qualified counselors.
Meals are served at the University dining hall where a quality diet will be
provided.
Health Services — The university’s Etter Health Center, with a
nurse on duty 24 hours a day, is available to any camper needing medical attention.
Lost Key Policy — Campers who do not turn in their room key at camp dismissal
will be subject to a lock change fee (ranging from $25-$40). For security reasons,
lock changes must be made immediately before the next group arrives. Keys returned
after check out is not permissible. There will be no exceptions.
