Three Place in Top Ten as Red Raiders Win 4K Event at Dickinson Invitational

CARLISLE,
Pa. - Using three top-10 finishes and six top-15 finishes, the
Shippensburg University men’s cross country team won the 4K event
at the Dickinson Long/Short Course Invitational held at Dickinson University
on Saturday afternoon.
Pacing the Red Raiders was sophomore Stephen Thompson (Northnumberland/Shikellamy) who placed third overall with a time of 12:27. Sophomore Dillon
Gracey (Mercersburg/James Buchanan) finished in fifth with a time of 12:31.
Rounding out the top 10, senior Allen Hanslovan (Morrisdale/West
Branch),
took ninth by clocking in at 12:39.
Senior Greg Weiss (Newfoundland, N.J./West Milford) and freshman Josh
Neyhart (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) finished 11th and 12th respectively,
with Weiss clocking in at 12:40 and Neyhart one second behind. Also in
the top 40 were senior Stephen LoBianco (Dover/Northeastern) in 21st
and sophomore Andrew Amey (Carlisle, Pa./Big Spring) in 38th.
The Red Raiders scored 17 place points to take home first as a team in
the race. Carnegie Mellon University finished a close second, tallying
20 points.
Shippensburg will travel to Slippery Rock University for the Slippery
Rock Invitational on Saturday, October 14. Start time is 10:00 a.m.
