Cross Country Head Coach Steve Spence Featured in New York Times

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Shippensburg head cross country coach and 1992 Olympian Steve Spence was recently featured in an article in the New York Times about a presentation he made in Indianapolis, Indiana for USA Track & Field.

The story recalls how Spence prepared for the International Association of Athletics Federations’ World Championships in 1991 where he finished third. His experience is being used to help athletes train for the the World Championships in Osaka, Japan in 2007 and the Olympics in Beijing in 2008.
