Yerokun and Mack Winners at Dickinson Holiday Meet

CARLISLE, Pa. - Junior Flo Yerokun (Perkiomenville, Pa./Spring-Ford) and junior Anna Mack (Olyphant, Pa./Lakeland) both were winners for the Shippensburg University women's track and field team as the men and women competed in the Dickinson Holiday Meet on Friday. The women's team finished fifth while the men were sixth.
Yerokun was a winner in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.25 seconds and also placed high in the 200-meter dash, coming in fourth with a time of 28.12 seconds. Mack finished first in the 55-meter hurdles in 8.53 seconds.
Other notables included senior Christine Slaughter (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra), whose mark of 4.98 meters in the long jump was good for second place. Junior Sonia Spriggs (Avondale, Pa./Avon Grove) was fourth in the shot put with a toss of 10.68 meters.
The highest finisher for the men was freshman Mark Anderson (Nanty Glo, Pa./Central Cambia), who threw a toss of 13.39 meters in the shot put for second place. Senior Mark Piccolo (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) came in third in the 400-meter dash, clocking in at 52.56 seconds.
Several Raider athletes put in noteworthy performances, including freshman Marc Faust (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford), who finished fourth in the long jump with a distance of 6.62 meters. He also finished jumped 12.56 meters to finish fifth in the triple jump.
