March 12, 2005

BOSTON, Mass. - Senior Tunisia Lacy (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) and sophomore Richard Hansloven (Morrisdale, Pa./West Branch) both earned All-America status at the 2005 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championship on Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.

Lacy earned All-America status in the women's triple jump for the second-straight year, finishing eighth in 2005 with a mark of 38-feet, 4 3/4-inches. Last year, she finished fourth in the triple jump at the Indoor Championships, posting a mark of 39-feet, 6 1/2-inches. Lacy is four-time track and field All-American, a two-time selection in both indoor and outdoor.

On Saturday, Lacy finished 11th in the long jump with a mark of 18-feet, 3-inches and 14th in the prelims of the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.02 seconds.

In his first NCAA championship, Hansloven earned All-America status in the 5,000-meter run, finishing eighth with a time of 14:21.68. Prior to the championship, Hansloven's best time in the 5,000-meter run came at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational on February 5 at 14:34.12.

Hansloven, who just missed qualifying for the finals in the mile run on Saturday, is the first men's indoor track and field All-American at Shippensburg since current assistant coach Dave Osanitsch finished seventh in the 55-meter hurdles in 1996.

Shippensburg will begin the outdoor season next weekend when it travels to Richmond, Virginia to compete in the Ram Invitational hosted by Virginia Commonwealth University.
