Lacy Wins Two Events at Susquehanna Orange and Maroon Classic

SUSQUEHANNA, Pa. - The Shippensburg University indoor track and field team competed in the Susquehanna Orange and Maroon Classic on Friday evening. Although no team scores were kept, the Raiders emerged as winners in several events.
Senior Tunisia Lacy (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) was the only double winner for Shippensburg after she came in first in the 55-meter hurdles (8.49 seconds) and the triple jump (11.04 meters). Junior Anna Mack (Olyphant, Pa./Lakeland) finished second behind Lacy in the hurdles, clocking in at 8.58 seconds.
For the men, senior Alton Richards (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) finished first in the 55-meter dash, tying the indoor school record of 6.48 seconds, set by Dave Brown in 1998.
Other winners included sophomore Richard Hansloven (Morrisdale, Pa./West Branch) in the 1,500-meter run who ran a time of 4:03.79. Senior Terry Lillicrapp (Glen Mills, Pa./West Chester East) finished second in the event, clocking in at 4:05.42.
The Red Raiders also finished strong in the men's shot put, sweeping the second and third spots. Senior Adam Escamilla (Brunswick, Md./Brunswick) came in second with a throw of 51-feet while freshman Mark Anderson (Nanty Glo, Pa./Central Cambia) was third with a toss of 48-feet, 5-inches.
Freshman Luke Hershey (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) also had a notable finish, coming in second in the high jump, clearing 6-feet, 2-inches.
