James Honored as PSAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Shippensburg University men’s track and field senior Jamal James (Harrisburg/Central Dauphin) were named PSAC men's indoor track athlete of the week on Wednesday.

James recorded two second-place finishes in the 55 and 200-meter dash for the second-straight week to lead the men's team to a fifth-place showing at the Bucknell Heptagonal.

James finished first in the 55-meter prelims and took second with a time of 6.52 seconds, and recorded a season-best time of 22.35 seconds in the 200-meter event. He was also a part of the 4x400-meter relay team's second-place finish that posted a season-best time of 3:24.62.

Shippensburg will be in action at Bucknell for the third time this season next Friday for the two-day Bucknell Open and Multi. Action on Friday begins at 4:00 p.m.
