Head Baseball Coach Matt Jones Announces Fall Meeting and Tryout Schedule

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Shippensburg Head Baseball Coach Matt Jones announced on Wednesday that any students interested in playing baseball for the 2008 season should plan on attending the meetings prior to the first practice date if they want to be considered for the team.

The fall meeting and tryout schedule is below.

Tuesday, August 28 at 4:30 PM - Fairchild Field
First meeting for anyone hoping to play baseball this year. You will need to fill out info for the coaching staff.

Wednesday, August 29 at 4:00 PM - Heiges Field House, Room 220
Academic orientation for new baseball players.

Wednesday, September 5 at 9:15 PM - Dauphin Humanities Center, Room 151
Athletic department meeting for all players trying out. You must be cleared to participate in order to tryout and/or play fall ball.

Thursday, September 6 at 7:30 PM - Heiges Field House, Sports Medicine office
Physicals. You must be cleared by our sports medicine staff to be able to participate.

Sunday, September 16 - Fairchild Field
12:00 PM - Tryouts for non-roster players.
2:00 PM - Practice for roster players.
